Dedication for the Nation

In the end of 2020, we also had the opportunity to design PGN Solution’s annual report. We were asked to build a new theme that is still connected with the 2021 calendar’s narrative of “Stepping Forward Together”. In the annual report, we were still communicating the roles of PGN Solution’s mascots. The title we created was Pejuang Negeri Penjaga Energi, or Protecting the Nation Gatekeeping Energy.

We researched PGN Solution’s last 4 annual reports to find a connecting thread of PGN Solution’s mission for Indonesia and to create the main narrative behind the 2020 annual report. The results of the study were then elaborated more in the context of the present, with one of the main themes being how PGN Solution dealt with the pandemic. We decided to dedicate this year’s annual report to the “frontliners” of PGN Solution—the workers who committed their lives to ensure the optimal distribution of energy for the people of Indonesia.

For the visuals, we opted to only use one technique to illustrate PGN Solution’s operations; drawing pen illustration. This self-imposed limitation is meant to express that despite the limitations we faced in our work this year, we could always do our best and create the best results. We also utilized anaglyph technique for the cover design to illustrate and emphasize PGN Solution’s commitment and vision for Indonesia.
